Per questo speciale progetto ho avuto l’onore di lavorare con i più alti generali del corpo che hanno contribuito con la loro esperienza ma soprattutto con rigoroso spirito alla realizzazione dell’iniziativa.

Volevo valorizzare il corpo umano, la figura nel suo complesso, cercando di slanciare il più possibile chi la indossa: è una Uniforme che viene mostrata nelle occasioni ufficiali, alla presenza del Presidente della Repubblica e dei Ministri del Governo Italiano. I concerti dell’Arma sono noti per la loro accurata esecuzione e ho immaginato che le abilità di chi sfila in queste occasioni dovessero essere messe in risalto. Per queste particolari circostanze, ho enfatizzato i polsi delle maniche delle giacche come delle camicie, in cui le prime sono impreziosite da un velluto color bigio e con ricami d’oro, a seconda dei gradi, e preziosi gemelli decorano le camice. Introdurre i gemelli a rifinitura delle camice, che sono il simbolo dell’eleganza raffinata per l’uomo, è stato audace.

Innovative details

I had the honour to work about this special project with the General of the highest rank of the Corps who helped with their experience, but above all with their spirit of exactness to accomplish the initiative.

I wanted to make the most of human body, of the figure as a whole, and tried to make the wearer as slender as possible: don’t forget this Uniform is shown on official occasions, in the presence of the President of the Republic and the Ministers of Italian Government. The concerts of the Corps are famous for their careful performance and I have thought that the skills of the men on parade should be given prominence. For such occasions, I laid emphasis on the sleeves of both jackets and shirts.

I have made the cuffs of the jacket sleeves more precious with a “bigio” velvet and a golden embroidery, according to the different ranks; the cuffs of the shirts are adorned by precious cuff-links which are the symbol of refined elegance for men. This finishing touch has been daring.
