ETTORE BILOTTA

After completing his secondary education, he commenced his studies in fashion design at the IED in Rome in 1984. From December 1984 to November 1988, he embarked on his initial collaboration as a designer with "Radiosa," a bridal wear company. In October 1988, he relocated to Zurich to work for GVL in prêt-à-porter, and in 1992, he moved to Milan to join Raffaela Curiel, where he began to master "Haute Couture." He later returned to Rome to collaborate with Lancetti. Subsequently, he was approached by a buyer and dedicated himself to creating Haute Couture collections for the Arab world throughout the majority of the 1990s and early 2000s. This experience with the Arab world led to his selection in 2003 as the designer for the uniforms of Etihad Airways, the first airline of the United Arab Emirates, which commenced operations in November 2003.

In 2005, he unveiled his inaugural Haute Couture collection inspired by "Jugendstil," followed by the "Nymphs" collection, a collection dedicated to "Marie Antoinette," and the "Water" collection. Numerous other collections ensued, showcased in the Roman fashion calendar. In 2006, he presented his debut bridal gown collection, "Shewhite," at the "Si Sposa Italia" industry fair. In 2008, he undertook the redesign of the Historic Uniforms of the Guardia di Finanza. From 1999 to 2003, he taught illustration and fashion design at the IED in Rome and the Institute of Design in Naples, and he continues to create women's collections that garner acclaim both in Italy and internationally.

In 2013, he was summoned once more by Etihad Airways to redesign the airline's uniform image. In 2015, he became the new designer for Alitalia, responsible for creating the new image for the ground and flight staff uniforms. In 2017, he assumed the role of designer for Turkish Airlines, and in 2023, he was appointed as the designer for Kuwait Airways, tasked with creating the new image for the uniforms of ground staff, flight attendants, and pilots. To date, he continues to craft Haute Couture and prêt-à-porter collections.
